Cassandra Saint-Jean is a self-taught artist, born in Haiti and currently based in New Jersey. She began painting in 2020 during the height of the pandemic, after stepping away from a healthcare career. Art became her way of processing, reconnecting, and reclaiming a sense of self.
Her work explores themes of healing, freedom, and the complexity of being human. She paints intuitively, letting emotion and presence guide her rather than any fixed technique or formula. Each piece is a reflection of what she's feeling in the moment.
Cassandra’s paintings are meditations on vulnerability and inner truth. Through abstraction and instinctive mark-making, she creates work that invites people to slow down, feel, and maybe recognize something of themselves within it.
